Masseria Rottacapozza – Torre Mozza

The Masseria Rottacapozza, dating back to the 16th century, was originally built as a defensive residence by the bishop of Ugento. It later became an important agricultural center, featuring stables, warehouses, and housing for farmers and laborers. Acquired by the Serafini family in the 19th century, it retains original architectural elements such as star-vaulted ceilings. Beneath the structure, a cave with prehistoric findings inspired the name “Capozza”. Today, it is a historic masseria transformed into a hospitality venue, blending history, nature, and authentic charm.

Masseria Rottacapozza is located in Torre Mozza (Ugento), just 3 km from Lido Marini. It is approximately 18 km from Santa Maria di Leuca and about 20 km from Gallipoli.
